Reward points

  • Every participant who sends entries gets 500 reward points.
  • Schools that have maximum entries will also be given 10000 reward points.
  • Leader Board of schools with reward points will be displayed on the website.
  • Winners' reward points will be added to their school's reward points.
  • School that leads the leaderboard will get special discounts and privileges for membership.
  • Schools with maximum entries will get a 'Leadership trophy'.
  • Participants will get digital certificates by Science Club powered by QED.

Here's how it works

  • Submit your video on or before the last date for submission.
  • A panel of judges will decide on the semifinalists in all the regions.
  • Science Club members can vote online for their most favourite video.
  • The top 3 winners will be announced.

  • Only registered Science Club members can participate.
  • The participant must be a school student and only one contestant should be present in the video.
  • Only one video submission per participant is allowed.
  • Participants must provide clear details about themselves, their school and the science teacher in the contest form before submitting.
  • Do-It-Yourself activity should be centered on theme provided. DIYs are experiments that can be done with materials that are easily available around the house.
  • The duration of the video should be less than 3 minutes and should be in the following format:
    • Introduction: Your name, school and class.
    • Quest: The main concept or ask a question that you'll be focusing in the video.
    • Explore: Explain and demo the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) activity.
    • Discover: What were the discoveries and outcomes of the activity.

Ethical practices - Live dissection of animals, insects or other living organisms is to be strictly avoided in the video.

The videos should be uploaded on YouTube and be sharable using a web URL link. Links that don't work or not viewable may not qualify for the contest. We strongly recommend every participant to test the URL and ensure that the video works and is accessible by public.
